Named after Isekichi Komaki the founder and 2nd Chairman, this label has been voted the most delicious shochu by the shochu drinkers of Satsuma Town.

This label has descended from the shochu TODORO NO TSUYU that the distillery succeeded when it was founded in 1909. The shochu has a fragrant aroma that is unique to the black starter.
This shochu is excellently suited to mixing with either hot or plain water.

Aigamo rice (grown in rice fields without agrichemicals or chemical fertilizer) is used for the rice starter for a mellow taste.
Recently, the number of farmers with contracts for Aigamo rice are decreasing and the amount of shochu production is limited. Currently this label is released once per year during summer to autumn.

Using the food-table-variety Red Satsuma sweet potato as a raw ingredient, this shochu targets a sweet fruity taste preferred by female drinkers.
It has an attractive appearance, is very easy to drink and its fragrance is best when served "choimizu," which is on the rocks with a dash of water.

Aiming to recreate a shochu created by Komaki Brewing when it was first founded, the power of the Black Starter and the Yeast that was developed 100 years earlier has been used to create a shochu that combines various modern distilling techniques.

On the occasion of our centenary we created this shochu that is fermented at very low temperatures using yeast and beer yeast as part of brewing aimed at making shochu for the next 100 years.
By chilled carbon dioxide, a clear savory flavor with a fresh sweet potato flavor can be created. It is a good pre-dinner drink.

By using two different kinds of sweet potato, the Joy White and the Beni Satsuma, it is possible to create a shochu with a sweet and crisp taste. It is an ideal summer drink for removing the summer haze to enjoy a refreshing summer.

As this shochu is designed for the summer, it is only sold during the summer months.

Sweet potato shochu (distilled spirit) is usually made with malted rice, but with this shochu not only are sweet potatoes the main ingredient, the malt also uses sweet potatoes, so it is 100% prepared with sweet potatoes. This shochu has been available since 2001, and the distributor is Takara Shuzo.

Just like Ikkomon, this is 100% made with sweet potatoes, but for this shochu the only ingredient is red sweet potatoes.
